How I Work
Psychoterapy and Psychoanalysis in Basingstoke
Working with me is a reflective and collaborative process designed to help you understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful, lasting change.
I offer in-person psychotherapy in Basingstoke. My work is grounded in psychodynamic thinking and psychoanalytic principles, and shaped around your individual needs. Therapy is not about being “fixed” — it is about being understood.
My Therapeutic Approach
I believe that emotional difficulties rarely appear without context. Anxiety, burnout, self-doubt or relationship struggles often develop over time, shaped by past experiences, expectations, and unconscious patterns.
In our work together, we gently explore not only what is happening now, but why it might be happening. This allows you to move beyond managing symptoms and toward real understanding.
Therapy with me is:
-
Thoughtful and emotionally grounded
-
Structured but not rigid
-
Insight-oriented, yet practical
-
Focused on long-term emotional resilience
-
It is a space where you can slow down, reflect, and make sense of your internal world without pressure.

Psychotherapy Sessions
Psychotherapy offers a structured and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
What It Is:
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process that helps you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours — not just to manage them, but to create lasting change.
Together, we explore the connection between your present struggles and the patterns that may have shaped them, allowing you to gain clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
It offers both reflection and structure: a space where you can grow at your own pace while feeling seen, supported, and understood.
Psychotherapy can be helpful if you::
-
Experience anxiety or emotional overwhelm
-
Struggle with overthinking or difficulty switching off
-
Feel stuck in repeating patterns
-
Find it hard to set boundaries or express your needs
-
Are navigating burnout, grief, or life transitions
-
Want deeper self-understanding but also practical support
What You Can Expect:
-
A safe, non-judgmental space to explore your emotions and challenges.
-
Support to develop awareness, resilience, and healthier ways of relating.
-
Gradual and sustainable growth that extends beyond symptom relief
Psychoanalysis Therapy Sessions
Understand and heal the deeper roots of long-lasting struggles.
What It Is:
Psychoanalysis is a deeper and more intensive form of therapeutic work. It explores unconscious patterns that influence your emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
This approach allows us to examine the deeper roots of anxiety, recurring difficulties, or internal conflicts. It is particularly helpful when problems feel long-standing or when previous approaches have provided only temporary relief.
Best for you if you:
-
Are navigating anxiety, work stress, life transitions, or low self-worth.
-
Want a consistent, safe space to reflect and be deeply heard.
-
Feel ready to explore the unconscious patterns that influence your life.
-
Value emotional depth, self-inquiry, and the process of long-term healing.
What You Can Expect:
-
Deep emotional insight and discovery of recurring inner patterns.
-
A safe, confidential space to process long-held feelings and experiences.
-
Lasting changes in emotional resilience, relationships, and self-understanding.

Structure of Sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and are held at the same time each week to provide consistency.
Therapy works best when there is stability and commitment. Together, we will discuss the frequency that feels appropriate for you and review this over time.
Our work remains confidential and respectful. My role is to provide a steady, reflective presence — someone who helps you think, feel, and understand without judgment.
